MidCoast Fine Arts partners in over 7 annual community arts events including youth art events, arts & urban renewal celebrations in our downtowns, and an art festival, which are in addition to our monthly artist reception events at our galleries and "Final Friday" events at Bucktown.

VenusEnvy at Bucktown

Venus Envy will celebrate five years in the Quad Cities on Saturday, May 2, 2009, from 6 to 11 p.m. at Bucktown Center for the Arts, 225 East Second Street, Davenport.

Venus Envy is a free women's art festival featuring juried regional artists and performers. The event is a celebration of female creativity, showcased through the arts of music, dance, theatre, visual arts, multimedia installations, written and spoken word.

Artwork will be exhibited on the first, second, and third floors of Bucktown Center for the Arts. Outside on Pershing Street, the Hera Stage will feature a full evening of performance, and an additional performance stage will be located on the third floor. On the fourth floor, a private residence will host performances and interactive installations. An Artist Village with open-air market and artist demonstrations will be located outside.

More than 50 visual artists, belly dancing, live bands, original theatre, and creative installations will be featured at this years' event. Even though only women's artwork is featured at the event, men are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Gallery Hop! in The District

MidCoast, in partnership with the city of Rock Island's Arts & Entertainment District, orchestrates these arts events that unite multiple sites, visual and performing artists, presentations, and trolley tours.

Art Stroll in Downtown Davenport

Arts, education, civic business and media partners rally their support in recognition of the arts' impact on out community through this Arts Mecca event celebration, orchestrated in part by MidCoast Fine Arts in support of Q. C. Presenters.

Bucktown Bash!

MidCoast's celebration of arts' impact on urban revitalization has come home to Bucktown. An annual anniversary party in late July, spins history a century past, into a current day arts party of regional recognition.
