We are in unprecedented times. For the safety of our employees and artists, we’re closing Bucktown Center for the Arts to the public in support of community health, effective March 18, 2020. Unfortunately this includes our Final Friday Finale scheduled for March 27.

Bucktown suite owners may be contacted individually for communications; see the Bucktown page on this website.

MidCoast has had an amazing run, and this is not how we wanted to say goodbye to the community and each other. We want to thank each of you for your contributions to this organization -- as a supporter, an artist, a volunteer, a staff member or board member. Without your support and your passion for MidCoast and the arts, none of this would’ve been possible.

MidCoast Fine Arts is the only not-for-profit organization in the Quad Cities that dedicates its mission entirely to supporting living, local visual artists and exhibition spaces for them. Our exhibitions and programs add to the economic vitality of the community and make the Quad Cities a cool, creative, connected place to live, work and raise a family.

MidCoast Fine Arts programming is accessible to the community, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation including gender identity, disability, age, marital status, education, military status, unfavorable discharge from the military, or citizenship status.

Census of Community Visual Artists: Registration Deadline March 25

Help us Document the Vitality of the Area Visual Arts Scene for All Arts Organizations to Have Data for Grant Applications

Area arts organizations may contact info@midcoast .org by April 15 to receive a copy of the assembled results.

MidCoast is happy to announce receipt of Illinois Arts Council funding that gives the opportunity to undertake a long-needed project for our community – building a better picture of our community’s talents.

Our task is to determine the number of self-declared visual artists who are active in the area we serve (the QCA and a 90-mile radius around it) by March 1, 2020. This information is crucial for grant applications, as many grants are awarded based on where artists reside.
